Game 2 reminded me of the PK Clan tournament Finals series between Garja and Boneng. Julian's play is an exponentially more refined version of the defensive style which won the biggest tournament since WCG over a decade ago. Thanks for putting the powder on the baby's butt!

Massive showing by Julian, congrats man. Truly a beast.

This reminds me that Kaiser, with the least amount of game time BY FAR every single tourny, consistently make the finals whenever he decides to last minute say "fuck it" and join is pretty remarkable. Still giving us good games so keep doing what you're doing mate.

The first game I actually thought the game was over when Kaiser hit that idleless 16 and started aging before Brit did, but Julian made pretty much all the right decisions at the right times. Main things were 1. Holding the initial uhlan pressure without too much idle time, losing a vill for 2 uhlans, which is ok for VC Brit, 2. Walling up next to the TC and stable while aging and a perfect mm pop into Kaiser's skirms, 3. Popping 5 + 5 huss (with vet pre-teched) in time for Kaiser's next push, 4. Raiding mines (Kaiser got a bit unlucky with house los on the first raid tbh), and 5. Taking advantage of the trees for the final fights.

The second game I also thought was over when Kaiser took that great fight by the cost with his frigate. I'm not as sure what happened here but I think Julian came back by quickly retaking sea and staying near the coast with his army and kiting back towards the coast whenever Kaiser tried to engage (and always fighting at an angle where he had a clear escape route towards the coast, not doing anything dumb with his army). Kaiser tried pivoting and attacking land vills but Julian had a safe mine near his TC (also sent 1k coin) and a safeish hunt near the coast, and ofc all the fishing boats. I'm going to guess that Kaiser's twitch chat comment is right and that making a 2nd frig and taking Julian off of water would've been the best way to close it out from that fight, worse water players would've lost from there regardless but vs a player of Julian's level I guess you can't let him have full sea on a map with 5 whales.
