ESOC Invitational on YouTube
ESOC Invitational on YouTube
For the record, every video will be up on YouTube. Dates are spread out over the coming 2 weeks. Dates are on the picture below. In case you missed the stream or just can't wait to watch it back, I'd advise you to watch on Twitch. Every match is saved as highlight here: https://www.twitch.tv/esoctv/profile/highlights

Re: ESOC Invitational on YouTube
Isn't it a little bit too late? Releasing the finals video almost two weeks after it was already played?
Re: ESOC Invitational on YouTube
Why the delay? I prefer to watch on YouTube, because i can download the game WITH the commentary and watch it at whatever speed i choose or skip parts. I can't do this with the Twitch feeds.
Re: ESOC Invitational on YouTube
Delay is there for 2 reasons.
First of all people are likely to miss out games if all games are uploaded at once. This has to do with an overwhelming YouTube feed which will include a lot of videos. Also from other channels.
The second, and most important reason is to provide a stable amount of content on the official ESOC channel. The Invitational is done, so there won't likely be much more content being made over the next couple of weeks (months maybe). A channel goes forward in terms of subscribers, views and being known, if the channel provides a stable amount of content, being uploaded on consistent times. By spreading out videos, the channel provides a constant level of content.

Maybe they could be spaced a little bit closer together? People that missed it might wanna see the casts quickly aswell? I think Code S is supposed to start now too.

I don't see any problems with watching on Twitch in the mean time. You can even do that on mobile. Everything is public.

Quite the little media whore you've become, haven't you? Or maybe you've been one all along...

Re: ESOC Invitational on YouTube
It's hard to argue, I'd imagine people would want to watch the finals pretty quickly, but then they will still be able to see the rest of the games in the mean time, gradually. It's not the worst of ideas, especially if all the videos are available on Twitch. Maybe just make sure to advertise it appropriately, so that people know! :)
