I think it could be nice if malaysia had better hunts, 2nd hunt is vay far and you mostly don't get a 3rd hunt, same reason why it was removed from the team map-set. Overall it has good potential
So I absolutely despise Manchac for a lot of reasons first and foremost I hate the low-poly brown turkeys that camoflauge into the background terrain, and I hate animals that die underwater and are impossible to see also. However, I recently played a game that tilted me very hard because I couldn't click on my starting mine. See below screen cap:
Yeah sadly the trees tend to spawn too close to the mines. And yeah underwater stuff is annoying, same when kiting treasure guardians. But it's usually not a big design flaw imo, just a small annoyance.
What I dislike about this map is that there's no resources on the middle island and it's just sad

Why lol? If you look at a good Bayou spawn it's actually a great map. First of all having non buildable areas makes for more dynamic games. Secondly resource placement is so that you usually have plenty and in all directions. The only things I don't like about the map is tree patches which are usually too thin and treasures which are mostly garbage or too big to take.
I've had to host esoc florid a multiple time due to hunt benefitting player In bottom left of map.
Other tournament maps seem OK currently in terms of map balance usually. I guess this logic is random but I have seen many forward gold mine spawns on maps with 1 mine in base
On Florida it seems like the nat post in the corner by the sea for the players deletes one or two hunts. Usually it spawns fair but not as intended I think.

Shit trees as you mentioned, usually having to move off your "island" to get to a 2nd mine, turkeys that hide in the water, very imbalanced res on the other "islands" some have multiple hunts and mines and others have nothing, its often very hard to build anything mid due to tp,trees, water etc. Also bayou spawns where hunts arent majorly in favor of 1 player are far and few between.

It can't delete hunts. Hunts spawn after nat posts.
If bayou didnt have turkeys and had more consistent start hunt it would be a very good map apart from trash treasures- good nat selection, fast paced games, favours map control, etc.
