What is the price and population, just for Spahi?

Consider the hypothetical situation where Spahi was trainable.
Here is a video of 5 Cuirassier vs 3 Spahi, and this was the fairest proportion I found, after many tests.
Considering that 5 Cuirassier cost 1500 resources and 15 populations, then if we divide this to 3 Spahi we would have:
1 Spahi: 500 (250 food + 250 coin) resources and 5 populations.
In the late game, 500 resources and 5 populations seem to be very cheap because this unit has a better scale than Cuirassier, and the Otto civilization will have 99 vills just like other civilizations.
Here the question: what would be the correct price and population for Spahi?

500 and 5 sounds fine. A mahout costs 650 res. That's a max 20 spahis on field, as opposed to 40 cuirs, 16 mahouts, 50 huss. With health regen and shadowtechs and an extra area could bump price up to 550 res to be safe. A good, expensive unit is in line with ottoman design.

500 res / 300 res = 1.67. Spahi base hp / cuir base hp = 1.5. Attacks = 1.16 but spahi have +1 range. Pre close. Don't want to make these too viable.

Stats, with all cards and arsenal, the huss is british:
Age Spahi Cuir Mahout Hussar
III 937 hp | 40 atk 700 hp | 39 atk 1237 hp | 37 atk 512 hp | 45 atk
IV 1162 hp | 50 atk 900 hp | 51 atk 1558 hp | 47 atk 640 hp | 47 atk
V 1537 hp | 68 atk 1150 hp | 66 atk 2017 hp | 61 atk 800 hp | 72 atk
Here are also the age III stats without and with cav combat, the most relevant sup scenario.

W/o cav combat 750 hp | 35 atk 500 hp | 30 atk 1100 hp | 33 atk 384 hp | 36 atk
With cav combat 862 hp | 40 atk 575 hp | 34 atk 1237 hp | 37 atk 432 hp | 40 atk

Unit Hitpoints Attack
Spahi (n=20) 30,740 (20% RR) 1,360 (3 range)
Cuir (n=40) 46,000 (20% RR) 2,640 (2 range)
Mahout (n=16) 32,272 (30% RR) 976 (2 range)
Hussar (n=50) 40,000 (20% RR) 3,600 (1 range)
You can see why cuirs are so dominant and mahouts suck dick.

@aqwer You will love this topic!
By taking into consideration how much upgrades cuirs get, 3cards for stats, 1for cost, and 120 mil pop, and better eco late game ; cuirs are always much better than your suggested 5 pop 500 res spahi. It is worse than mahout with cards which has about 1800+ hp, 70att, aoe, lancer bonus, too much siege, speed boost by monks.

Imo, if you really are serious about it
Spahi:
Cost 200f 200c
Pop 4
Hp 800
Att 36
Rr 0.2

P.s. 5 spahi shipment is comparable to 3 mahouts. And analyzing it suggests that spahi cost should not be more than 400 res.

Yes seems logical. Another idea to see more spahis is to make Ottoman town centers train spahis from the start instead of settlers, maybe make settlers trainable in stables to balance things out

Just change the abus in foundry to spahi who attacks with abus gun in range (same stat as abus) and do area of damage in melee (same stat as spahi), problem solved.

When you select a spahi and put your mouse above the little image of the unit, it says that spahi cost 280f 3 pop
