Re: Iroquois Discussion Thread
Iro is a tier 2 civ. They win again India, and do very well against most semi ff civs (Dutch, France, Port). The only semi ff which is hard to beat is Germany.

if it's so good/anti india why is nobody playing them in tournaments?
I think india wins em but most of the people play the MU too passive as colonial india.

Because people played their best civ, and noone mains Iro. Also they're very map dependant as they're bad on no TP maps.
Re: Iroquois Discussion Thread
I think forest prowdlers are really usseful vs india (same like abus guns but easier to mass).
Though iro eco is not great if you can't take a good stagecoach. Overall I find iro balanced and they offer a good diversity of strat so I would leave the civ like it is for now.
Also for the 400f/200w/200g card, I think you could use it to get the house bb that gives 500w for 250g/250f after 7min.

Re: Iroquois Discussion Thread
Ye iro are fine as they are. They excel if given the right starting condition and are decent to good on other conditions. They are not terrible either on no TP maps because the travois gives alternatives (farm+upgrades, dock+fishing boats, firepit and xp dance for one shipment, etc.).
Also very fun civ which can overcome pretty much any weakness but it takes some skills to do that.

Indeed few people have Iro as their main. Also it is not a popular civ, rather hated. Check these threads: https://eso-community.net/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=16037 and https://eso-community.net/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=409

There is a high chance that livestock gathering rates are much smaller for native civs https://wiki.eso-community.net/Gatherin ... ring_rates is it true?

Re: Iroquois Discussion Thread
I actually can't believe you guys are thinking of buffing the rainbow crates. Already they are pretty Op imo compared to any other civs crates.
It seems like this was done mainly to add the semi Option from what I'm reading, so I guess that is warranted but there are a lot of other things iro I would buff/nerf/change on EP if I were a devbefore worrying about crates. Iro could really add a lot to the game if they were better designed, but it seems no one really cares about it

Been meaning to ask, do the farm techs improve livestock gathering rate? On the Decca/Mongolia 3v3s to which my fellow noobscum are partial i like cow boom, and I always wonder if it's worth it when cows/sheep are my only food source
Thanks

Re: Iroquois Discussion Thread
Tbh it's nice that iro vils gather livestock slower, because the farm start with wood start on livestock maps is simply op. You get your fattened animals at like 7-8 minutes lol, it literally wins games.
Dunno about aztecs and sioux vils though, I don't see any real reasons for their vils to gather livestock slower

Iroquois already have a slower fattening rate like China because of that.

Slower or not, you still get your fat livestock at 7 min which is OP.

Re: Iroquois Discussion Thread
Anyone up to make a guide for that civ on EP ?
Having no ressource to start with it really didnt help to grow their popularity (which really suffer from their RE broken reputation)...

Re: Iroquois Discussion Thread
Iro is weak civ. Proof? Look at the tournament play ratio.
You can only build a farm on 100w start, and if you get 100w you gonna go for tp or dock. even then the livestock gathering rate is almost the same as hunt rate. The food upgrade is super expensive.
Just like as spain, you simply get outmassed compared to top civs as germ and india.
I don't think iro is going to played even once in the LAN.

This is exactly why you don't give away all civ's ins and outs
