dojos are probably underrated. They are 6.8 vills that don't cost pop or consume resources if producing yumis.
Re: Japanese Discussion Thread
Why would it be overpowdered? It trains so slowly anyway

They're not good tbh, far from being as good as factories.

I have never shipped one, just speculating since it seems like 7 vills except can't be raided/no walking time/no pop cost/no natural res cost ect
Re: Japanese Discussion Thread
Allow other players to gather from cherry orchards? Or make it a infinite orchard card.
For dojos:
I use them to make naginatas or yabusame to suprise opponent with mass cav from the side.

Japan most certainly dont need a buff. More like a nerf
Re: Japanese Discussion Thread
Pls nerf yumis. Theyre stupid and rape everything there is in this game.

Japan is ok in this state, except ashis, they should be nerfed a bit. Speed shouldn't be touched, because in my opinion that makes them special.

I agree, sending them late game or in a FI is actually pretty good because the training upgrade available at them makes them very practical.

Is there a zen diet meta for japan? I know that there is no dojo meta atm....

Ashigarus? were conscripts and should be the weakest musketeers in the game.
Then again if this was realistic Britain and France would basically wipe the floor with all the other civs, plus Germany wouldn't exist.

No, its a useless card.
Re: Japanese Discussion Thread
The thing is, ashis aren't even that broken. Their stats are strong but they are very expensive musks aswell. It's really the yumis that are crazy units that are stronger than is reasonable.

We are not talking about historical accuracy. We are talking about relative strength of Ashigaru unit in game.

My concern is that if you nerf ashis or yumis Japan will be even more vulnerable to rushes, especially vs Russia. Don't forget that walls have been nerfed too.

This is true, only real problem with ashis is that they are too good at raiding. Age 3 yumi with yumi attack, way of the bow, golden pavilion and a dynamo are what is scary about japan. What is even more scary is when they get age 4 giving them access to honoured yumi and the shogun as well.

You can also tweak the scaling a bit and compensate for that. I think Japan's design is over the top. Its okay for a civ to be weaker in the early game and stronger later on but Japan just gets to a point where the civ is stupid imo.
Re: Japanese Discussion Thread
yumi are like ashis, they are not that special for their cost early on , but later with ups they become pretty damn good. Probably their up cards will be nerfed.

I agree, Japan's strengths and weaknesses come to the point of absurdity. So what do you propose for Japan? Does it need tweaks?
