Change to the rules: You can now bet 1000 points per result!
Matches to bet on for the ro4
You can bet on every match now, since there are only 2. They are:
1. [strike]_H2O vs Veni_Vidi_Vici_W[/strike] 5-0
2. [strike]Blackstar_OP vs nagayumi[/strike] 5-3
Prize
To make it interesting Ill throw in 100$ for the gambler who has the most points after the finals of this tournament.
How it works
Everyone starts with 1000 points. You can bet all of your points each round, but of course considering how many games are coming up it would be wise to save some ')

The ro4 is a best of 9, so there are 12 possible results you can bet on:
Player a winning
Player b winning
Player a winning 5-0
Player b winning 5-0
Player a winning 5-1
Player b winning 5-1
Player a winning 5-2
Player b winning 5-2
Player a winning 5-3
Player b winning 5-3
Player a winning 5-4
Player b winning 5-4
The system works in such a way that betting on things that the rest of the people havent bet on gets you a higher rate of payout if that result should happen, but of course disagreeing with other betters generally means you are betting on an unlikely result. This way it should even out, and of course the best way to win is to bet according to how you think the games will go, though strategically throwing some points on a result that is not too unlikely but people havent been betting on can be quite rewarding.
Betting on a player winning gets you less bang for your buck as well because it is lower risk. For max profits bet on the specific results.
I will make new threads for the payouts of each individual match.
Rules
- You cant bet more than 1000 points on a single result (so no more than 1000 on player A winning or on player A x-0 etc).
- You cant bet on your own matches except on you winning and you winning x-0
- You may donate points to other betters, but only if they have already lost everything.
- You can edit your bets, but not after the matches of course. Any bets edited after the match has started will not be counted.

The round of 8 is not done yet, but we can safely say Veni is the big winner. And did anyone really expect different? The guy is winning some major cash almost every match. Somppu, who made some money this round but not a lot, has finally had to give up his first place. Unlucky! Grats to Veni though, who has not only taken first in the betting tourney, but reached the semis of the tournament as well. The only downside is he cant bet on his opponent, _H2O...
Dont forget the Blackstar vs kynesie match which should be happening sometime this week (before the weekend!). Keep your eye on their scheduling thread!
