Deleting tc and recalling minute man
Every now and then I send that card that stops hp decay with China and I over pop with 600 or 700 minman. Although they get blown away by 1 canon shot they are very good for harassing vills and they ensure that you get the whole map.
So I was thinking that maybe with Portugal you could use the advanced minute man card and spam even more min man with 3 explorers building tc's. Although those will only have 1 hp you can probably over pop 1500 of them since you get so many for each tc and use them as mortar shield and make a hole in the walls with 100 pop mortars.

Deleting TCs for infinite minumement is a viable strategy even in supremacy as @deleted_user2 continues to demonstrate with the Indian civilization.

With 1500 minutemen on the field your screen will look like an oil painting, and, just like an oil painting---not move.

It works. I did it myself once I had 150mm as france. Its great for cannon fodder and mass confusion.

Either Dutch or China is the best civ for this strat. Dutch can send the age 1 card "Stadhouder" to reduce the cost of their tcs to 250w (on EP). Next they can send team infantry HP to buff the minutemen. As China you can send a card that allows you to call minutemen from villages and another card that stops the minutemen from losing hp.
The biggest problem is that they don't have any upgrades so they're completely useless late game. If you are playing vs someone with a bad pc it might be a good cheese to lag out his pc.

We can send those mms to a fight along with the main units, sure its going to be 1 hp but enemy fire is being utilized to kill these mm's and ofc in a late game using ranged attack of 44 or plus against unit of 1 hp is certainly a waste.

If nothing else it sounds fun lol. To be fair, it would probably work best with the Asian civs, as they can use their villies to build TCs too. Feels like 1 explorer would be pretty slow.

Having 1000 1hp laggy bois doesn't help if your opponent is using a splash damage units, like might even be a fun opportunity to use trample mode...

It can work now that I tried it and saw some of my mistakes. If I improve my tc building micro I can probably get 400 minute man more by min40.
A few notes if you do this, it is important to gather more tree than usual for the tc¨s, and do not make too many culvs because minman do well vs enemies culvs so that pop is better spent in mortars. And in Deccan going center would have been better because then you can block better with minman and defend the mortars

I wonder if artificial lagging with the mm mass will cause people to ragequit (hand mortars and flamethrowers as main units and 1000 mm or so) would make spectacular vfx and mm could count as wall somewhat... I know some brit players who make 1000 cows for this purpose

Minutemen are quite expensive, you're paying 25 coin, 25 food, and 100 wood for a unit that has 1 hp and 26 attack in the post imperial age, not to mention that they are killed instantly by cannons and you don't have the ability to remake crucial other units such as mortars needed to push until your 1 hp minutemen mass dies. While it can be good for a cheese or two, I don't think this is actually a strong strategy.

As noissance said the only way this strat works is if it gets the opponent to ragequit cause of lag

Use china, send boxing rebellion and another shipment, you can recall endless sentry from villages, not TC, and they don't lose HP. That's much easier.
