What im confused about is why another aoe2 remake? Poor fans getting double milk'd

Let's hope that the team in charge of this remake contacts the playerbase regarding balance changes...

The one time I'm skeptical and it doesn't pay off. God dammit.

I'm not sure what to expect from this tbh. Will they just throw the game into a fresh engine that will be used for aoe4?

I'm a bit confused on how this will work from a business pov. AOE IV is such big deal that I think it will cannibalize all the the other AOE titles.

But then one is left to wonder why aoe2 is getting a DE too?

All the DE editions will be the hype train that leads up the big release of aoe4. They'll come out far enough apart one after the other to rake in all the $$$ and build the hype. That's their plan I reckon.

That seems unlikely. It's probably not gonna be as good as AoE2, unless they pull off a miracle. That game will always have a playerbase.
Great to hear about the AoE3 update. ESOC staff should contact Microsoft, I don't see how they would have anyone working there who actually knows what needs to be in that update.

True, we don't know either when all those will be available. They need some time to be designed and promoted

That seems unlikely. Look what happened with AoEO.. It's not gonna be as good as AoE2, unless they pull off a miracle.

They are making balance changes in aoe1 DE so I assume they will touch up aoe3 DE in someway other than cheaters, ftj fixes etc

That means they'll have to contact the community which is here ... I hope ...

But yea the business team needs to contact MS for sure.

AOE IV won't come out for 2-3 years there's incentive for them to improve existing titles to keep the fan base satisfied and active.

Since AoE2 got an HD remake recently, does that mean that AoE3:DE will come first??

maybe maybe not because aoe2 is more popular it could still come before imo....

Holy shit so excited. Sign me up for any testing pls. Very interested in changes for aoe3. Aoe4 might go RON style and start from ancient times through to colonial or even later. Can't wait!

This is the conclusion of the voyage. The game will be less obscure after the update and a relative human wave from future combined editions will build a new city around our vintage Town Center. Tears in my eyes   , I played every year since 2005...

if they make a definitive edition and start balancing the game again though, well, not sure how that'll pan out for us. moesbar would be fixed, possibly we get an updated/better version of ESO? many questions that need answering. if they start supporting the game then maybe EP would have to step to the side. i'm not sure. this feels like Agesanc FP versus RE all over again.

i'm cautiously optimistic but the EP is also really good. especially the maps. everyone would benefit if we could get in touch with the guys making the DE somehow

ALL EP Changes , Maps , Aiz observer UI , fix lag , ping counter , other bugs , better ESO Servers , everything needs to go into the next RE update :D
