The stream/casting has improved greatly since last year, and there's more to come! The series this time were great for the most part, minus the games that were thrown. I foresee a great future for aoe3, till the remake comes out!

I don't want to be negative here, but did the casting improve?? I'd say it would be a good job if it didn't get worse.

@momuuu dont be a negative nancy, the casting has improved since last tournament, and it certainly is noticeable. The casters also gave more strategic breakdowns compared to last year. There was also less filler talking and more action in terms of the games. Im torn between chrisie and edeholland for my favorite casters. One more thing: the casters seemed to be more inclined to rehost games this time around.

@momuuu
what did you do to jerome the pet bear????
I don't want to be negative again, but I can't stand a positive attitude based on nothing. This tournament was for me the height of factual incorrectness. The casters available have been in steady decline. Its not that the casters don't try their best or anything, its just that the amount of casters that are good are limited. Theres too few casters that have the combination of insight and a nice accent. I miss the days of many pros casting and I also miss interjection.

Kaiser is a nice caster, he doesn't spew out nonsense. I'm happy he's casted a good bunch of games. Sircallen's voice is nice and he also doesn't say many incorrect things (if any). Wickedcossack is nice too. I personally just mute the rest.

@momuuu you have upgraded from a negative nancy to a debbie downer. Nothing's wrong with optimism, there were plenty of games casted, and i enjoyed most of them. I dont pay heed to caster's accents, but what they say instead. Also, i find less-pro casting intriguing as well, because it's more relatable to the average player.

Well, to me what they've been saying reached an all time low. I think half of the time, at least, theres a guy talking thats at best a 1st lt. Theres something wrong with optimism if that requires you to ignore the truth completely.

Not really, its simply a matter of your expectations. If you expect casting quality same as the legends like zuterjection, you are likely to be disappointed. I think you simply have an issue with the casters because you keep comparing the average casters to an almost impossible standard. You seem more disappointed with who is casting rather than what they say in the games, another case of elitisim here.

If something improves or not is literally not a matter of expectations.

I wouldnt put it in a depressive way like jerom has but hes right, if were accepting that the quality of casting will be lower, then it will most certainly become lower

If we do not accept that the quality of casting will be lower, we do not have anyone casting the games.

And bad caster = or > no caster because there is a mute option.
Basically, afternoon games are impossible for US, not too many UK casters and not too many active native-level speakers outside of those countries --> Budget english.

Actually, to some degree I prefer no caster thats just showing the important things on screen to a caster that I don't like that's also missing literally every raid and half of the fights.

Luckily there's soon one less 2nd lt caster around so don't despair Jerom! :-) Your message might reach even more of those pesky lts!

That doesn't take away the point that it is a very valid point of view that the casting has not improved since the last tournament.

This. The 3 mentioned above may be great casters, but you cant just write off the new generation without giving them a shot. I'd wager even interjection had a rough start casting with his channels wayy back (NofW Days?). @momuuu The casting has improved, the casters are getting better at making calls on rehosts and stuff. Recall the drama last year with the kickass v tedere decision?
