It's been a long time since the golden days of weekend aoe 3 streams. I specifically refer to saturday smackdown by interjection and zutazuta. It has been a long time since any showmatches have been casted or played other than official tournaments. So I would like to take up this opportunity and start a streaming series on friday/saturday or sunday depending on real life factors. Each stream will have different gameplay format to make it interesting.

I want to start with the first stream today at around 21 GMT and I would like to ask if anyone is interested in playing.
So I am here inviting some of the best players to come and compete against each other and claim the first ever crown of fantastic friday showdown.

Today's Format

Prize pool:
This is a fun event for community hence no prize pool is involved.

Format
1) It would be a BO 5 series.
2) Games would be played on latest version of ESOC patch.
3) 9 civilizations would be randomly selected using a rng program. Atleast one civilization would be selected from Base game, TWC and TAD.
4) Each player can veto one civilization. In case of single civilization being selected from either of the expansion or base game, that civilization can not be vetoed
5) No civilization can be repeated during BO 5.
6) Civilizations would be blind picked as in: Before every game starts each player will be given 2-5 mins to decide their civilization, which when both ready would be simultaneously whispered to me and then selected in game.
7) 7 maps would be randomly selected using rng program. Map pool will consist of UI 2.2 maps.
8) Each player can veto one map.

Maps will be played in the order specified. Note: Vetoed maps will be skipped.
Players are free to choose civilizations as they wish but they are not allowed to repeat them during the course of series.

About the maps, how are you going to deal with some RE maps? Like the kind of maps that needs 50 rehosts before getting a somewhat fair spawn?
Btw esoc won't let you stream on their channel unless you already are an esoc caster. And even then, you would need to let them know in advance. But the next friday(s), if you keep on organizing this, it might be possible.

We talked about this, and if it turns out to be a success the channel might be switched to ESOCTV!

omg - do I miss the saturday smackdowns! Sorry lot of you guys made that a horror show for the streamers! so the fun got drained out of the FUN. things to learn from this? take care of the ppl who spend their saturday afternoon, for your pleasure

Unfortunately it can not be any earlier than 19:00 GMT @Kaiserklein. Thank you for your input regarding maps and I agree with you, hence maps which are inherently very unfair will removed for example: Yukon, Great plains, and maps which are spawned somewhat fairly for most part would be included.

@kami_ryu here it can be added what I told you. My idea, among others, was to ask players play live on stream the MU of the week.
