You know that if a game lasts on average 20 min, and we play 21 games, the serie is going to last 7 hours?
And that's without even considering the breaks between games. Honestly, unless it's one sided, a bo29 is goona last at least 8 hours, which is way too much for players.

I'm fine doing this vs garja because it's free 100$, and I don't mind spending 8 hours bashing this noob, but vs raphael it's something else.
Even at my peak level it would have been close at best, now keep in mind that I've played less than 20 games since September.
Realistically, I'm goona get demolished like the last time we played a bo3 showmatch, and waste 8 hours without earning anything.

So if I were to play against Raphael, admitting he's fine with it, I find time for it, and you could find enough money, it would have to either be a much shorter showmatch, or a prize per game won, because getting rekt for 8 hours without getting anything isn't the dream week-end for me.

Anyway, I'd need at least 2 weeks to prepare a bit and get a decent level, even though I probably won't get my peak level back in two weaks, so I definitely wouldn't play vs raph today.

honestly anything above bo 9 is excessive. Theres a reason why finals are bo 9 and not 11 ( we had a bo11 in pk clan, wasnt the best). However for a showmatch and considering youd actually donate money to see it id be willling to play a bo11

I guess it doesnt matter as long as it is not a 5-0 in 45 minutes. I remember a few hyped matches were pretty much over before they even began. On the other hand, 5-0 or 6-0 doesnt really matter I think.

The reason a BO27 dont give me same hype as a BO9/11 is because I want to see who wins.
If a BO27 was played over 3 sessions, I would personally only make sure to watch the last session, and by then it could already be over.

I don't know why Garja doesn't play it , it doesn't have to be in one session. He has been playing aoe a lot lately so i don't know why he is going afk all of a sudden now. it would be very entertaining to watch aswell.

My main problem with this is that I wasn't planning at all to commit to anything serious like this, especially with all the grudge and shit around it. It just puts more pressure on me, as if I have anything to prove, which I don't.
I will still play casually pretty much everyday for a while (even tho I really shouldn't) but I'm totally unwilling to get into this sort of grudge matches.

Thing is garja has never proved anything in the TP meta.
He was a great player during the pkckan era, and showed that he mastered the RE agressive meta, by getting 2 times in finals and by getting 2700+ elos in QS.

However, he's never showed great play since esoc was created. Iirc his best run in tourneys was ro8.

Thus, he simply can't claim that he's got the best game understanding out there, and he definitely has a lot to prove in the current meta.

Lord_raphael will only play bo9 or bo11. The only reason people would donate money is to see something special like a bo27 with every different civ being played. No one wants to watch a random series.... Also there is no beef between lordraphael and dia so it wont be as entertaining.

Well I don't know any revolutionary 70y.o coach.
But anyway Garja isn't the coach of a team, he is the player of an individual sport. So he can't just say some controversial theories, never put them on pratic (and nobody else did it for him either), and then claim it's because only him understand the game.
A better comparison would be a chess player who says he has found the best opening ever but won't play with it against a good player. Who would believe him ? Nobody. So Garja can't expect more if he doesn't want to play.
