I think the level of play which top players have today is superior than that of 2005-2010, tbh.

The meta-game and overall level of play is just more crisp and evolved. That is the impression I have.

Hard to compare the old school players to the current top players. Back then the builds were no where near as crisp as today, but alot of the top players had very good mechanics. It would be really interesting to see how good they would be if they played nowadays. One thing for sure is that Grunt is the best ever aoe3 player, he literally dominated everyone for years throughout all 3 aoe3 games.

and i dont see the when BS counter civd.... he beat h2o with sioux when everyone thought india>>>sioux... he turned the british vs india game with an insane comeback despite the 50 point difference, even if u claim india counters brits that comeback is not at alll easy...and he also won the japan mirror lol

i'm still confident that aoe3 can sustain itself because it's a really good game in its own right. it's not a good game if you want aoc, but it's still a damn good RTS
