Nah, even if he would rek everyone, it would still be super cool if he came back.Challenger_Marco wrote:your worst nightmare ,be happy he's not here he will just rekt anyone here ,former aoe3 WCG 2007 champion ,WCG 2008 runner up ,Champion in aoe2 extremely talented guy.krevivo95 wrote:Who is that guy?
Not even sure. If he doesn't have enough time to practice (and by that, I mean at least 3 months), he would get demolished.bittersalt123 wrote:Raise the prize pool for tournaments to about $500,000 and then Grunt will return.
Honestly 30 probably the end for most. Maybe in a game with no player base and some knowledge of strategy you can make it longer. Still i think juicy hazza would wreck him if he seriously attemted to come back. He is just too old. In his prime he was the best though.gibson wrote:Also he's gotta be close to 40 which is probably somewhere around the time an esports athlete begins to decline.
He isn't close to 40, he is 40. He was born 1980, so he is either 40 already or will be so in a couple of months. I think back when he officially retired in 2008, he was set to become a tax accountant or something of that sort. I doubt he has much time to grind out games so he plays as a casual person.gibson wrote:Also he's gotta be close to 40 which is probably somewhere around the time an esports athlete begins to decline.
Eh I mean, look at aoe2, the top players from 2000-2005 are still the top players now (if they didn't quit for good). DauT is around 40 too and look how good he still is. Look at chess where 50 year olds still dominate. Aoe3 isn't a game that requires a lot of dexterity.bobabu wrote:Honestly 30 probably the end for most.
I doubt it. Professional athletes can play up to 35 in most sports and in some cases 40. Theres just not as much motivation for people to continue in esports as they get older since there’s not as much money in it compared to most other sports.bobabu wrote:Honestly 30 probably the end for most. I'm quite sure grunt did smurf more than one time in the past 5 years so these "grunt is back thread" aren't fake.aaryngend wrote:He isn't close to 40, he is 40. I never got these "omg grunt is back!" threads. No he isn't, if he was, he would log into his old account as proof. If he wants to play some anonymously for fun, he sure as hell will make sure that no one will find out.Eh I mean, look at aoe2, the top players from 2000-2005 are still the top players now (if they didn't quit for good).
