In a sense the LAN isn't really an "ESOC" tournament so much as an EscapeAoE one. I imagine the ESOC system will host brackets, at least for qualifiers, but not funding it.

I would call it a cooperation, it's certainly going to utilize a ton of resources from ESOC; the tournament system, ladders, patch, manpower... I'm not actually sure how the funding works and whether ESOC contributes anything there.

Esoc will not need to contribute to any of the NWC funding. :)

On stream we have the donation bar which should give an indication of how far we are with funding a tournament, but there currently isn't a way to see how many tournaments have been funded yet and what goal we are currently working towards.

IIRC there's already the full funding for another seasonal tournament and the current bar is for the next one after that, right?

No. The funding from that bar is being used to fund the current series of events (monociv, 2v2, weekend tours, etc..). There will likely be some money remaining which will go to the next major event in the fall, but it is not fully funded.
