Ideal gaming setup on bed for aoe3?
Ideal gaming setup on bed for aoe3?
I dont have a chair and table where I can put my laptop and keyboard so i have to settle for playing on bed. So is their anyone else who play aoe3 on bed? I would like to know what is your setup. Like what do you put beneath your mouse. Do you use external keyboard or not, etc.
Here's mine it seems rather uncomfortable to me.

I take my laptop on my lap and have the mouse on a book.

Lol we have the same laptop.
I have it on my lap (doesn't work in the morning if you have a boner though) and I place the mouse directly on the comp. It's like -3 PR tho

Idk a boner can prop it up a little bit making it easier to play

Raising your computer up an extra 2 inches makes it that difficult to play>?

If you have shelves that can be taken out, you can use that as a "table" for your laptop and mouse.
Be careful on where you hold your laptop though, you don't want to get cancer of the balls. [:

I also used to keep it on the book recently bought this mouse pad though surface isn't stiff like a book so it feels a bit awkward.
Is their enough space for you to move your mouse around?

1.Blue yetti cost around 10k rs 2 costly no wonder why cometk is a legend
2.@Shikari placing lappy directly on the bed is shit coz u cut off the airflow below the lappy making excessive heating issues ,may cause thermal throttling ,poor overall life of pc ,I would recommend a stand u put on Lapp like a 2 books or something which lifts the lappy.
3.playing on bed is tiring if u have no support behind ,so bad positioning of Ur body u need to learn forward to see things I would just sit on the floor and play lappy on the bed or by kneeling down lol it's better.
5.Its better to play on table & chair ,try placing it on Ur washing machine LOL
6.Imo I feel external keyboard is better coz for me the lappy keys r not comfortable I feel finger fatigue so with keyboard u can tilt it 45° and use it or however it's comfortable for u as u see pro FPS players

RIP to your posture. You're better off placing your laptop on a closet or something and playing while standing.
Re: Ideal gaming setup on bed for aoe3?
Some board game boxes are the perfect size for using the mouse on your bed. Laptop on your lap (duh), board game on your right with mouse pad on top. Try that maybe. Takes some getting used to no matter what though.

Re: Ideal gaming setup on bed for aoe3?
yea dude just go to the table wherever you have one, unless you live in a hut in india( by their internet connections, I would guess some of our co gamers on ESO do).
Anyway I almost always play on my bed because I have been in a similar situation the last few years traveling around the country with limited accommodation. Before that, when I was playing back in 14 when I got my medals I was also on my bed, because I was on house arrest, sleeping at 7-8 waking at 3-4 AM to play with the much less toxic and to me more mentally engaging European/asian community. And at that point the house wasn't awake yet.
ANYWAY I digress heavily.
SO here's what you do. Get at least 2-3 pillows under you and sort of prop your torso up so that your downward side is your mouse side. That way you are kind of leaning onto your pillows with all your weight, you mouse hand is resting free on the bed, and your higher hand is used for keyboard hotkeys. Then, halfway through the game when you get tired of that position, lay back on all those pillows and put the laptop on your lap I sometimes use the bottom right corner of my laptop for a mousepad. Works oK with my MacBook air.
Thing you gotta watch out for is cables. Cable entanglements are death. Especially with that wired mouse. I'm a noob and I use a 10 dollar laser wireless mouse from china. It does have adjustable DPI tho and a few prog buttons
by the way nice laptop. I run aoe3 on a POS MacBook AIR from 2014 and despite the hardware being way more than capable in theory, it struggles on 4v4s, definitely a mostly interface problem, because I run way more intense stuff on my MAC boot fine, but on my windows 10 boot even fucking diablo 2 lags. Got to figure out how to update drivers or something. Mac just sucks for anything that isn't within their narrow minded tardcart universe
