I recently played a game and one of the opponents was playing French and was at a private level. At the 15 min mark had a villager pop of 49....I had a villager pop of 50 with most available upgrades done yet his production of resources was almost doubled what I had. When I questioned him on it his response was " French gather fast.. look it up...he then left. His gathering of resources by the time the game was done as more than me and my two teammates. Just want to know if this is possible.

Well there are a lot more factors to how fast you gather res than pure vil count. I played a 3v3 on deccan as otto and had the most res gathered dispute having the lowest amount of vils for most of the game. That being said there are cheats that would allow someone to gather faster resources. However someone using this cheat would rise quickly from the rank of private so it seems unlikely to me that he was cheating.

if you are talking about andes game, i dont think its cheating, he went to imperial and imperial eco upgrades are OP. Not to mention all of those upgrades that he shipped from homecities.

If your cheating and still a private, seems like you're not very good at cheating.

It's possible. French vills gather faster and if he sent more eco cards than you and macrod better and got faster than you to age 4 and got factories out, it's conceivable that he could have double your eco. Also native TP upgrades, where relevant.

If your vills were idled more than his, that's yet another factor that could explain it.
