Export Generation
I've been getting into Asian civs recently and have been wondering how export generation works. I already know that export is generated by default at 0.3/s per non idle vill. However i was wondering what the negative to export generation, or is it just free resources for Asian civs that has no negative?

China lacks strong villager shipments or any villager-related bonus, Indians have to chop wood, Japanese have to gather berries...
TAD civs have more options / nuances, but are not economically stronger. It is their militaries that are OP.

It is a free resource but it takes a 200w slow constructing building to use.

Correct above. Also, recall consulate replaces the arsenal (as the firepit does for TWC civs). Export greatly diminishes in value as game goes on.

You've clearly ever played vs my build where I use the convert gold to export cards Japan and spam hatamotos

Export roughly equals 2 res per export eg. 400 export gets you around 800 res of units, like 4 grens or whatever
300 export = 600 res shipment
It trickles in such a slow rate it makes your vills worth like 1.01 vills or less
If you stack France consulate with the "5%" option you will generate export at a significantly higher rate with essentially no penalty, which is the only reasonable way to make export more than a passive bonus of like 5 musks or a couple of crates in a normal game
