Format was perfect. gls style groups are great.

Seeding was also good. By any metric tabben was a low seed, he just performed much better in the lan then in the qualifiers.

Not really. It's fair to get a bad seeding when you perform poorly in the qualifiers. He eventually managed to overcome his low seeding, but he deserved it.

LUL imagine that in AoE3 EleGiggle

Tabben should have played worse at the LAN because he should have played worse at the LAN, agreed. I guess he laid off the pain meds. As diarouga pointed out there was good reason to seed him 8th. Other than dia probably being seeded slightly lower than he should have, and Mitoe choosing less desirable MUs and builds in practice, seeding appears consistent with what what it 'should' have been and generally consistent with tourney results.

Mitoe lost to Kaiser then the tournament winner. Kaiser lost to Raph the number one seed. Snowww lost to Raph the number one seed. The tournament winner lost once to Mitoe. It was a close event. Prescience is an unfair trait to expect of the seeding body.

In a game like AoE3 player play styles can factor in quite a bit. Some playstyles are just not a good match up compared to others. This cannot be accounted for either.
