What are skill points?
I googled old forums and no one knows for sure. And to me it seems I get them at random times.

I didn't lv up since I'm already at my max lv. And besides that people of old furums have commented that there are people with lv 100 homecities and have less than 90 skill points and then there are people with more points than their hc lv so that makes no sense if it was hc lv up. And that was way before xp mood was a thing.

from what I read here I think it has more to do with the differences of pr between the players, and on the ensemble studio ladders, levels are called skill so that must mean that they are somewhat related.

look at the emseble studio ladders no one has above 49 skill points, then that must mean no one has lv up 100 lv and that makes no sense, so skill points has nothing to do with hc lv.

I think it's not the 'level up' thing. It is the one that you achieve to 'purchase' the cards that you need on your deck. I checked with the single player homecity.

You get one skill point each time you level up so it is. It might also be the customise points that nobody uses.

Well, yeah, I guess this would be a more precise description:
Skill points are what is used to buy cards.
For each new level, you obtain a skill point.
Therefore, if the stats say you got a skill point, it just means you received enough XP throughout the game to gain a new level. The stats also say you "should've" gotten a skill point even when you're already maxed and it doesn't matter.

The bottom line is; you can just ignore this stat completely.
