Twitch pays me.
Just when you're ready to give up, twitch comes through and gives you your first pay check. It looks like I'm going to be the next ninja. I made $109, not bad not bad. My twitch account was created on April 1st, 2012. It took me a little over 7 years but I got my first check, that's true entrepreneurship. Yacht club I'm coming for you.
For anyone that is wondering how the twitch payout works, this is a summary of it. Twitch will pay you at the end of each month, ONLY if the amount you make is $100, if you dont make that amount in 1 month then whatever you did make will just transfer over to the next month and so on until you acquire $100. Then once you reach that $100, they will then pay that money at the end of the month. This does NOT include donations. This money is from subs, bits.

I'm pretty sure you only make money from ads if you are a partner. Affiliates like me dont get money from ads.

That doesn't sound very legal, at least in the EU. Try doing that as a regular job for teenagers. You'll start working, but you'll only get paid once you earnt your first one hundred.

@Mr_Bramboy it's legal. The reason it becomes legal is because you accept their terms of affiliate status. They don't have to let you make money.
So you agree to terms/contract.

Re: Twitch pays me.
Chances are you wonât get approved. You only need to average 75 viewers to apply but most people who average under 500 get rejected unless you get a huge amount of subs. Thereâs a guy named sliker who averages 2.5k viewers and has 2k+ subs who still gets rejected. Also ad revenue is next to nothing. Youâll get about 10 bucks if you run 5 minutes of ads if you average 2k viewers. Also like kaiser mentioned they look at the language and such you use and if you curse and are toxic etc you probably wonât

Re: Twitch pays me.
the official list of requirement for partnership is:
in 30 day period:
Stream for 25 hours
Stream on 12 different days
Average of 75 viewers.
As gib said I'm not sure how strict they are or who they accept, I believe they are much less strict than in the past and are maybe continuing to get less strict. My friend TheMista, older rts player, one of top AOT players and was like semi pro SC2 player, when he made his twitch channel in the early twitch days. 2012, his acc was and still is a partnership. Even when he had just stared the channel and didnt have those numbers. I think it had to do with him associated/ on a semi pro team.

Re: Twitch pays me.
I think if you're a top player or one of the best streamers of a game you have a bigger chance to get partnered, at least that's how some AoE2 streamers got partnered, even though they didn't reach the correct numbers.
But that was a while ago (before they started the affiliate Program), so maybe things have changed now.
