@Riotcoke, Swiss Pikes are amazing vs cav and generally more approachable than Highlanders.
As for Fusiliers, they are really speedy bois with very high damage. Combine with Hand Cav to keep skirms busy and you have a really hard to kill force, especially if playing Germany with Tilly. Cant have mercspam without Tilly

@HUMMAN, why so low rating on Mams?

In general, why do you folk dislike the Barbary Corsair? It has 6 speed and good stats, making it a good unit to combo with Melee Cav. Also Tilly

@ShinkuroYukinari I only took saloon into consideration, and mams and elmetis are avaible in age4. I would rather see pikes and ninjas than age4 units.

I just considered the strength of the unit, which has top tier stats. The fact that it's available in age 4 makes it worse in practice. Same as mams basically, except you get to ship mams in fort as ports and otto.

It's best to look at the unit all round, if you get Highlanders in any mu you're fine. If you get Swiss pikes Vs India or Brit they're basically useless in mass which is why they're worse than HL.

If jat lancers didn't have a card to be sent before you could train them would they be S tier seeing as theyre better than elmetis (160 damage Vs inf Vs 120 for elmeti)

Lil bombards are nice as they can be used as artillery for civs that don't get it, e.g india. Maybe I should have put them one step lower .

@Riotcoke the only civ that can't train/ship art, that also has access to saloon units is India. Making l'il bombards as India is pointless, as you'd much rather be making urumi to counter large balls of infantry, and siege eli's for ranged siege. There is literally no reason to l'il bombards with any civ, other than for fun.

It's situational. Mams are better vs skirm/goon as they are faster and tank more, which means they'll get to snare forever, and also better vs hand cav. Elmetis are better vs compositions with HI, for example vs china or japs, who don't have goons.
