Coaching

  • Quote

Post by Scroogie »

Hello all, I would like to know if this is something people are interested in. We have seen some coaching videos from Interjection, which I consider to be the most interesting and entertaining videos from him except maybe H2O explains.

Coaching I believe is very interesting and rewarding for both parties involved, as the beginner will learn how to think and what to prioritize in a game, and the intermediate will have to reasses and reinforce his decision-making habits. I'm saying beginner and intermediate, because I think some great coaching could happen in that constellation, even with no pro players involved.

I'm currently sitting at PR27 and think I can offer valuable advice to people in the pr10-22 range. So the question is, are there people interested in getting coached? If so, just pm me. ;)
Lastly, if a player better than me would be interested in coaching me, i would greatly appreciate that!

I don't think schedules or any of that is needed, just do it like when you ask for a game, just ask, hey wanna coach?

Let me know what you think, cheers Scroogie.

Maybe you guys can comment some stuff like "crazy stuff", "good idea", "interesting concept", so that it stays longer in the "active" column and more people see it. :D

Hey, first post here! I am PR 18 and would be interested in some coaching. I play mostly 1v1s with France. I'm free to play some games this weekend.

I’d ask for help but unless my coach was like minded they’d give up on me for both my slowpoke micro and my insistence on doing the sillies.

God idea and one that has been done before. I remember being teamed up with a captain who showed me some good stuff. I remember some issues for some finding a time slot to make this happen - and remember some pr23-28 being more interested in getting coached than doing the coaching. Thus they never did their part - sadly.
Overall I remember it as a great event for the whole community

I’ve tried coaching several people over the years, but sadly I always feel like I’m trying to get too detailed or get them to use up too much APM on things that don’t matter much because I expect them to keep up... oops, haha.

I feel like I’d like to try coaching someone who’s at least PR33 - 35 at some point. Or coach @Kaiserklein cause boy that man needs help playing this game.
