I feel like now the chat might tolerate AoE3 a lot better since Viper, Tatoh and Daut have already been playing with games other than AoE2 like AoM or AoE3, so the stigma against it might not be as strong as it once was but it will be definitely fun to read the twitch chat. And it'll also be hard not to get triggered xD
People just don't realize that having played a couple of hours (or maybe even the whole campaign, really a lot! /s) on Nilla in 2006 doesn't qualify them to know what AoE3 looks like now in 2019 on EP.

What it feels like to me when I see soo many of the aoe2 player is that they complain about things which they heard from someone or they saw a video. And video is basically like aoe3 is bad because it's not aoe2. Even though alot of people haven't played aoe3 they flame it and it just makes every aoe3 player triggered me included.

But now because of escape atleast they won't be saying things like "are people still playing aoe3"
"I thought this game was dead" "wow their is no competition scene for aoe3"

It was a long time ago when Viper was streaming AoE3 and halfway through a 24h stream. This stream he'll be coming at it fresh with more paitence and dedicating a whole stream to it.

I don't think it would be fair to hold him to what he said in the past.

I'm looking forward to this and and am hoping to see some familiar names in the chat. Be sure to make a mixer account so you can chat!

This is true, I also think that due to Escape hosting aoe3 as well aoe2 the aoe2 crowd might be more warming to aoe3 seeing as people like Zak, who i'd see as an influence in the aoe2 scene, speak positively about it.

That's because Zak really enjoys watching and playing AoE3

I'm sure he would speak his mind if asked a questions about it, but I don't think he has time to go around striking up discussion about AoE3 on say AoEZone haha

I think you'd be surprised how many aoe2 players watched the lan, so it filters through the community that way maybe?

It would be funny to see some tourney or a show match where aoe2 top players play on aoe3, and aoe 3 top players play on aoe2
