I bought it a month ago and it was a bit disappointing. The graphics is new but the rest of the game feels awkward. Maps are very low on food, unit pathing and behaviour is still awkward at times, idk. You can try it for yourselves but i doubt you'll be sticking with it for more than a few games.

I would buy it next time on sale, I certainly put many hours in a kid. It's worth a buy for nostalgia and for the single player campaign but i wouldnt want to play this game even semi-competitively / for fun online, its just not a great game in that aspect.

Damn, that was my impression when I tried the beta nearly two years ago. Guess it didn’t improve that much.

Jesus fuck the sheer and utter incompetence...

If you are going to vaguely hype an age of empires related announcement it better damn well be about aoe3 de or aoe4. And if it’s not, you better promise to give news about it in the future with a DATE. Or better yet, just say upfront that it’s only about aoe de and aoe2 and don’t get people excited for aoe3 de of aoe4. What is so difficult about this?

It's quite good marketing actually, hype people up so much that they'll watch these pointless streams and maybe they'll buy their other games.
