On the contrary, it would make matchmaking more efficient. People who play through the lobby are in a comfort zone and therefore can be very demanding when it comes to MUs.

I agree that for the most accurate elo rating, a random map random mu kind of deal that QS gives you is necessary. Though it seems like an irrelevant discussion for this community size. Imagine waiting 20 minutes for a game in QS against someone way worse or way better, when you can play the opponent, map and mu you want through lobbies = more efficient practice and/or better use of your time depending on your goal for playing.

We need a much better map pool if we want QS to be viable though. There are too many no TP maps, thus no TP civs are not viable.

Like I said these are people generally on the RE patch who then see the lobby on EP and switch. Anyway, what's the whole point here? That rated lobby games are less legitimate because the match-ups aren't random?

Lobbies are less legitimate. Partly because you can pick civs, but mostly because you can pick opponents. Diarouga can just choose to never play "tier 1" players and sit on high ELO forever.

Then China and Sioux get countered by brit regardless of the map, by Japan on no TP maps, and by Aztecs on no TP maps.
I guess China is an okay pick but you suffer a lot from no TP maps.

I put @Lukas_L99 forward as my champion to play china and sioux. choose some player(s) of the same level as him to play the other civs. And we can see.

I didn't say you should play, I said pick someone or a few. I coach luckass, you coach your pick(s). Can be showmatch before @Cometk's league starts

As for the mu's i just named some that i think are interesting. We can take out china/sioux russia tp, idc really.

Mu of the month was pointless as kaiser's sioux isn't optimal in a lot of cases (tho its really solid in some mu's/vs some styles) and he didnt actually want to play sioux.
