Congrat's to both players, and big thanks to giveuanxiety for hosting the event. I enjoyed the format and all of the series I caught.

Of course some games you played well, like as ger vs russ and as india vs jap. I just think I lost because I got terrible rolls (as usual), not because I got outplayed.
Like the only game where I think I really could have done better was russ vs ger, because I usually do fine in that mu (even though it's a shit mu), but I just wasted my units. Other games I lost I simply couldn't do anything because I don't play the civs.

I think I'm just not gonna play in gua tourneys anymore. I don't think it makes sense to have such a non competitive format with hundred of bucks in the prize pool. It's supposed to be a fun format but I'm just not having fun reaching semi finals or finals everytime and then losing because of the civ wheel.

One thing you could try is giving players a few civilization bans, instead. It should increase both balance, and civilization diversity, without completely eliminating player choice.

Your civ pool is not complete and you got puniahed for it. Nothing is really wrong with the match ups in general.

There's like 3 civs I really can't play (japs, azzy, india). I'm kind of ok with the 11 others. How can you say I'm getting punished for my civ pool, when I get these 3 civs repeatedly, in like every GUA tourney series lol
