Finally iam pr 26

Post by yoda611 »

Hi everybody I introduce myself I am a player I had 2k of voobly and a week ago I bought the game aoe3 on steam and I immediately found myself comfortable with the game I also find Italian friends and other players and I found that I win easily against Sm 2lt 1lt so now I am captain , I am reading That many players can't or well get there I have not found this difficulty, but now I am at a point where I Need to know if continue growing and improving I have to play unrated games or. Risk of losing the pr by play rated with my same level player? Thanks if you give me some advice

You lose the PR slowly anyway if you are inactive for more than 2 weeks and drop to 25, so don't care about it. (http://www.agecommunity.com/faq_mp.aspx) You only need Elo for tournament seeding.

congrats. Dont focus on pr too much just keep playing rated and trying to improve. Ask better players for tips, watch twitch streams and recs.

Hey man, sorry for the free PR earlier. We had a power cut and my PC went down. My advice would be don't play Otto, don't play China. Do what the guys above have said ^

Thanks all for the reply and advice,,, I was scared because I care too much about pr because in voobly didn't exist, but I understand now, elo and keep play the game is important too without focus too much on pr.

Competitiveness gives you more incentive to improve. It's a fact, and not a surprising one, that the most competitive people end up at the top. This is true in gaming, sports, and even business.

Having said that, we could all do with a little less of it. Improving should be its own reward, not a means to compare more favorably to others. In any case, caring about PR implies you care about improving and that attitude will certainly end up making you a better player.

good point. i think, to expand on what i think might be aligator's perspective, ridding yourself of ladder anxiety by way of not trying to maintain a reputation or ideation of yourself as some particular rank is important, too

i like to think of myself as a major. last friday i played a lot of games against pr35+'s, lost almost every single game, and deranked back to captain. it felt great! (i mean this with absolutely no irony)

yeah what I mean is, that you just play and try to do as well as possible instead of shying away from MUs or opponents that are 2 PR higher because you are afraid to take a single loss and lose your precious Captain rank
