Whats the point of noobbashing/smurfing/trolling
Hello there,
I played today couple of games and in one 1v1 game i got hard trolled by a pr 20 smurf (dunno what his real pr was tho)
And I am asking myself how it can be considered as "fun" to play verse players way lower than your rank truely is.
For me it is just annoying for both sides, you hurt the game experience from the one player and more or less waste your time as the better player.

ya it is frustrating playing against that, but there will always be people who do that. Try to forget about that game and just focus on your next game and continuing to improve.

idk I think it's pretty fun sometimes because you can play the game in such a way you never would be able to otherwise.

Why don't you try to learn and improve at the game when you meet a better player instead of crying ? If you keep playing noobs, you won't improve, it's that simple.
Re: Whats the point of noobbashing/smurfing/trolling
I am not crying, i am just curious about that topic.[Armag] diarouga wrote:Why don't you try to learn and improve at the game when you meet a better player instead of crying ? If you keep playing noobs, you won't improve, it's that simple.
Nothing about personal preferences i do not care that much about the "competetive play", rather than having a fun time.
The result of practise is experience and the result of experience is knowledge and so on.

Sometimes the players who get smurfed are those who get provked , so the smurf wants to piss them off this way. Usually thought the player who noobashes wants to show dominance and feel good this way , compared with the lack of 'balls' to play who equal or stronger players.

I don't know man. In my case I would gladly pay vs Smurfs. It is just shears fun playing vs better player then you.
I don't mind loosing. Sometimes when I get a call or my battery is low I just leave the game for 5 sec in order to see it if the opposite player keeps unpausing.
Yet diarouga don't play rated games. Hmm

Re: Whats the point of noobbashing/smurfing/trolling
Whenever I smurf it's because I can't find a game close to my level. And then I go for troll strategies because there's no point playing seriously vs people 15-20 pr lower on a shit patch.
It's probably frustrating for the lower player to get bashed, but if it's the only way I can find a game, well, too bad for him.

Re: Whats the point of noobbashing/smurfing/trolling
People rarely noob bash by default. It's like cheating (official cheats enabled) or treaty/death match/scenarios (for sup players), you do it a couple of times for fun and variation.
I can think of a few reasons:
1. Big losing streak, just wanna win a couple of games before bed
2. Someone was rude so you try to get them mad as a revenge.
3. You want to humiliate someone
4. You want to try a new/crazy strat
5. You're a sore loser and to save your keyboard from destruction you need to win next game.
6. You lost access to your main account and borrow one from a friend
7. You decayed due to inactivity and nobody around your real rank wants to play because they don't believe you
8. You want to practice late game or some specific micro/macro
9. You enjoy making people annoyed
10. You lost your mouse and have to play with the laptop touch pad. You imagined it would make you a PR 15 so you borrow another account, but actually you turned out to be pro with a touch pad.
11. Same as above but you injured your hand/arm/wrist/whatever
12. You just can't stand to lose at all, ever. So basically for everyone's safety/comfort.
