It's a good shipment for sure but it's not op. Crows are weaker than heavy cannons for sure, and according to the aoe3 wiki it's worth 100w/500c (although I agree, it's hard to quantify), thus it's a 1200 infinite shipment in age 4, same as Iro iirc.

Re: Um why is 2 infinite flying crows a card?
I think its ok for civs to have strong cards, I dont think this overly too OP due to china having to go to age4 safely in the first place. Other cards come to mind are european factoris, 4 flaming arrows, infinite urumi are other strong cards for other civs

I personally think that's artillery is overrated. Lot of times just upgrading other units is better and I think it's the same for China FI and also very lategame.

It's a huge gamble sending it more than once over another industrial shipment anyway.

Not like they can duel the heavy himself. Its like free culv who are strong vs inf and rect building. Definitly not overrated at all.Garja wrote:I personally think that's artillery is overrated. I understand that AoE3 players are incredibly resistant towards infinite shipments, and I don't know the answer to your question, but are Flying Crows that great in the first place? Heavy Cannons seem much stronger, overall, and a shipment like 3 Rockets seems better than INFINITE 2 Flying Crows.

Theyre pretty good if u consider theyre better than hc at almost everything but area damage and killing infantry. Also if you consider that china cant train artillery normally anyway.

flamethrowarz are infantry actually. thought can confirm that once you get all the upgrade cards on them they are insane vs pretty much everythingprinceofkabul wrote:@AizamkHazza54321 wrote:Theyre pretty good if u consider theyre better than hc at almost everything but area damage and killing infantry. Re: Um why is 2 infinite flying crows a card?
agreed. with their high base attack and spamability they are probably the strongest artillery unit in the game assuming you are in age IV. the weakness is getting the first shot off which can be tricky due to low range in III and long setup animation, also slower speed than most other artillery pieces (close to lil bombards)Hazza54321 wrote:Theyre pretty good if u consider theyre better than hc at almost everything but area damage and killing infantry. Re: Um why is 2 infinite flying crows a card?
it's just about the spammability, no other civ will let you mass artillery so easily, european shipments will run out (except for germans but they are still worse for massing artillery) and europeans will have to spend shipments to get the factories out while you get a crow factory upon aging up in addition to the arques. depending on the stage of the game and the opponents civ it might be that culvs are too expensive at this stage (and require foundry time for upgrade) and a nice goon mass inaccessible, besides the china melee mass is certain death to hand cav. so you are forced to run around the artillery piece and avoid it at all costs until the opportunity presents itselfzoom wrote:I understand that AoE3 players are incredibly resistant towards infinite shipments, and I don't know the answer to your question, but are Flying Crows that great in the first place?
