Its always amazes me how far we have come to not be able to play 3v3 in 2020

That's not the point. People have higher standards nowadays.
They play other games and get reminded constantly how badly the network in aoe game is programmed. You start to notice.

Look at old consoles, all having 25 or 30fps only and playing on 60-70Hz screens, having ball-based mice, etc.

You don't wanna know how often I skipped looking at a real clock while playing aoe3, gametime saying 35:00 minutes while in reality, 50+ minutes have passed...

Well there are games with 100 players which play with no lag, also about 50% of the time I don't think its network issue, its more likely CPU lag due to people still playing on 8 bit console or super modern Nasa comp which can't handle old games.

Is there any way to like, host servers instead of p2p? or is that way too complicated for aoe3? @EAGLEMUT
