Defend the king tournament.

Normal supremacy but everybody spawns with a King (1000hp) they're supposed to protect. It would be competitive except much more upsets/a player can swing from losing to winning position very quickly. Losing the king automatically loses you the game. Doesn't matter how many score you're ahead.

For this could also i.e remove bastion to prevent games becoming static camping fests. King HP could also increase during age ups/upgrades.

It's still very skill orientated but also lower players could have great chances with well-designed strategies/upset potential.

Edited op: Actually better if you can't hide the King to buildings. It's way too safe in TC, for example.

EP through the ages: Each round of the tourny is played with a different EP patch culminating with the finals played on either EP 8 or RE patch !!

Well it would be easish to do considering aoe3 has a regicide mode, I can't tell if you are aware of this from your post or not.

I know it from AOE2, didn't know there is also one on aoe3.

You can hide your king in buildings in regicide mode though.

I remember there was a map where u have a king whom you can hide in tc and if he dies u just lose dunno what map it was is long time ago ive played it

Hiding it in TC wouldn't really make much difference to most of the games compared to sup lol.

I can see some merit, but honestly I'd rather just see more King of the Hill, than this Regicide stuff.

not entirely correct - there is a singular regicide map in TAD

i've made one regicide map and if inter wants i'll make more as this is a potential smackdown idea

edit: maybe make walls (or at least bastion) disabled for that smackdown

Yeah I thought about king of the hill this last week. I remember there was a VOD with Veni and his gang of seniors playing a king of the hill game, but I couldn't find it on my yt, twitch, his yt or twitch.

King of the hill the mode where kids arent allowed to play

Veni shouting at the young ones "Get off my hill!!".
