My mouse wheel is acting crazy – how to therapize it right?

Post by rnmrtzk »

Hey guys, I noticed that when I click my mouse wheel, my screen randomly jumps to a point on the map. Sometimes to my TC, sometimes to a TP, sometimes somewhere else. I wonder why this happens and what determines the place the screen jumps to. :hmm: (I don't use my mouse wheel as any hotkey, only for zooming).

Maybe one of you knows why my mouse wheel is acting so crazy.

(Maybe it can't handle the fact that it doesn't matter in my hotkey setup. Maybe you know how I can therapize it right. Maybe you can help me out to understand its unpredictable behavior).

I'd advise conversation therapy. Worked wonders on my depressed mouse wheel.

mouse3 in aoe3 is set by default to view last minimap event or something similar.

also 3 meals a day, good sleeping patterns, and exercise.

I also thought that it has something to do with minimap events (like scouting a tp or tc that is giving that instant LOS; or perhaps getting attacked). Do you know what kind of minimap events there are? And what do you mean with "something similar"?

The exact command is uiZoomToMinimapEvent/uiZoomToMinimapEvent2, I just couldn't remember the wording.

One meal a day, no sleeping pattern, climb stairs few times a day. Climbing stairs fast to elevate the heart rate per doctor's orders. Nvm climbing stairs shouldn't elevate the heart rate in a healthy individual.

Then: grind, grind, grind. Gain levels, quit. Do it again. If you don't do it again you quit for good. Quitting for good is kind of bad, because you quit for good. Quitting for good is good if the thing being quit is bad. AoE is a bad game. Everyone should quit for good. If everyone shouldn't quit for good, then AoE is a good thing, which it isn't.

If everyone doesn't quit for good, then they are bad. Being bad is a natural state. Don't follow bad role models. Don't follow role models. Eat.

Bad and good is subjective, so there's no point in arguing.

Bad is more bad than good, and good is more good than bad. The definitions include subjectivity. If you want to find a datum (finding anything is a consensus) you won't.

Change your hotkey for "last notification" I think that helps. Tho I may have given up on using mouse wheel because it's bugged. Can't remember
