random name generator? That's what I'd suggest. You want a normal name to refer to the accounts, but don't want to introduce any bias in name selection.

How are the casters recruited ?Riotcoke wrote:Yea, 16 is unfortunately sort of a soft cap if you want all the games to be casteddeleted_user wrote:Are things open to being rearranged to allow the most players as possible to participate?
ESOC : came for the game, stayed for the drama.
Re: Announcing the 1v1 Supremacy Hidden Tournament
AoE2 used names of recognizable characters from the campaigns, perhaps that could work here as well. Or maybe the names of a well-known leader for each nation that exists in the game?WickedCossack wrote:Great initiative! How will the player names be decided? Is that up to the admin team?

Yea at the moment I've got access to eight accounts with the names of the civ leaders in game. I think I might mix in some names like Piki_lam3r for a bit of fun thoughThrar wrote:AoE2 used names of recognizable characters from the campaigns, perhaps that could work here as well. Memorable names are much better for viewers. If you see someone with the name cowhax win a couple of games I think you are more likely to remember that player more than someone name Akbar or Gall or whatever.Riotcoke wrote:Yea at the moment I've got access to eight accounts with the names of the civ leaders in game. i suggest one of the account names to be cuckSlayer, and hopefully the player playing under that username is gonna win the tournament

How about memorable names such as RiotCuck? I know of at least one viewer on YT who couldn't hide his excitement for that name
