Thank you ESOC

Sounds like I am saying goodbye but actually I am not xD. I have been approaching the 1000 posts mark and tried to make some diagram about my posting history, but I couldn’t come up with a funny one to save my life. So instead I decided to write a post which I have been wanting to write for a while now.
I would just like to say THANKS to the community for…well…existing. All my friends stopped playing in 2009 and I would try to come back to the game about twice a year but quickly lost interest every time because there was no interaction with people and no good ways of improving. However, that one time in late 2014 I stumbled across Interjection’s PK Clan 4 finals commentary and from there found Smackdown and from there ESOC. And finally, there was a reason to stick around. Now, five and half years later (almost 3 times the length of my first AoE III stint) it is still up and running and providing me with the chance to enjoy my favourite game.
So first and foremost, thanks to all the staff who pour endless hours of their life into keeping this ship afloat! Every time something goes bad, they have to eat a lot of shit, but they rarely get the appreciation for all the things that go well. So please let them know much their work means to you from time to time. Also, thanks to the donators that finance the tourneys, thanks to the top players for providing us with epic series and thanks to the people who are mature enough to be nice to others and don’t feel the need to be a prick on the internet.

Thank you ESOC :flowers:

I just hope DE is not going to implement all of the EP changes. Right now it is a big clusterfuck.

I take the opportunity to also congratulate the ESO Community team, every success is the result of great teamwork. Working as a team is bringing together several ways of thinking for a single objective and the ESOC is a factual example of this maxim. Nothing better than a sincere thanks to motivate them to continue providing us with the best of AOE3.

ESOC's team does so much for Aoe3, it can't be understated. Empire Cups wouldn't take place if they weren't here to provide all the support for the event. As well as the other tournaments that are hosted. As well as replay features, live streams. They just don't stop. They're a machine. We're naught but a cog in it, but I'm happy to be one.

Maybe I wasn't clear. I discovered Interjection in late 2014 and started watching Smackdown. And there, they eventually announced the birth of ESOC in early 2015

ah, yeah, that makes sense.

I just wanted to make sure I shouldn't be discrediting the entire story because of a minor factual misalignment.
