Spain - Must you always FF?

I was inspired by this rec, it's a perfect eco-heavy hussar semi FF which actually won Brits (even outboomed them)

Why must you always FF against all civs if there exist a better way to play in long term games?

I understand you have to be lame vs civs like Japan, China, Otto.

Answer in the order if you know it right.

1)Spain FF doesn't win Brits on high level?
2)Spain FF doesn't always win France on high level?
3)Spain FF wins Russia?
4)Spain FF beats Ports?
5)Every Spain beats Germany?
6)Every Spain lose to Otto?

The problem with Spain's semi-ff is that they don't have a fast ageup to III which means they lose to any colonial play if they don't straight ff. You can probably get away with it in the current meta however since no one tends to scout Spain (and China).

French can and probably should just 2rax start vs spain no matter what. With they can deal with forward tower and colonial play.

I think by now u should know that Boneng losing in a MU doesnt mean anything, at least not in this forum ')
Moreover, H2O winning once doesnt prove anything either, however I think most pros agree that spain beats ports.

I think spain is not viable, ff sff or age 2 war is same probleme, you cant coutner mass mousket (their ship sux so hard).

Every civilization except a few are going to Fortress why shouldn't Spain? Even if you play colonial against "colonial" Civs like Brits you can get rekt so bad in long term because they have better colonial units and better colonial economy. And you don't have to be a military scientific to know that Age 3 shipments > Age 2 shipments.
