I love DE because I can just login, go into QS and find a game, but every change from DE is a downgrade.

Tbh getting a game seems to me to be a timezone problem, when the EU and US are awake I get a game in under 1 min, when they go to sleep it takes 4 min +

I couldn't even join half the games in RE. Using VPNs and stuff would make my game lag like crazy, and I would be kicked every time. So DE is a clear cut win for me. Long wait times is only an issue of playerbase size. And it's already better than RE, where you host a game and wait for half an hour.

Do you not remember how shit team games were? You were either one of the top 10 guys and got to play with the big boys with Hazza etc or you had to wait for Jailed to Stream and play laggy 4v4s half the time, if you didn't want to do that you'd have to go on RE and play on 3v3 Deccan vs some guys who are 5-10 pr lower than you with a smurf needed to not get kicked. De has some shit things but getting games at least for the average player is 10x better on DE than EP or RE.

Also some people can't play the game = some people are still running pentium 4s from 2001 doesn't mean the game is bad.

god the 3v3 RE Deccan meta. It was swings and roundabouts of rushes, complete stomps, some decent games or w8ing around for people to show up and argue about balancing PR.

I miss the days of regular AOE 3 and EP patch games. We had so much control then, it was good times. Amazing UI and dedicated fan base.

I tried to watch a TR stream at late night, took over 25 mins for him to get a game. He won in under 3 mins because the skill gap was so big. (german vs swede, swede lost) had seen similar start times on other streams as well.

Not even sure what was actually improved upon except maybe unit pathing, and the choice to make some un-used cards more attractive such as adding yield, and infinite spahi card.

As someone that got into the game only last year, the qs on DE alone is worth it IMO. I find games in a couple of minutes, every time.
Back on RE, as Riotcoke said, finding games was an unnecessary hassle and getting kicked out of lobbies was as sure as Sunday. Also, EP for my rank, was surely out of the equation.
Do I face performance issues/crashes for my more than capable gaming laptop? Yes indeed, which is a very frustrating experience to say the least. But with the release of frequent patches, and a few workarounds, I feel pretty optimistic about the state of the game and continue to hope that all will be great again!

If you have a shite pc yes, if you have a recent pc with a decent gpu this isn't the case. The old game was terribly optimised I'd get around 100-150 fps on DE I get around 200 on max settings but most importantly it's far more smooth, the only problem with DE in terms of performance is the memory leak which again if you have a modern system with 16GB of ram and you restart your game after every match it's fine.
