Please can we ban Japan from next tournament

I agree, iro and otto mirror should be allowed.

I mostly think we need fp to really improve upon the civ variety in the tournement.

Walls are undeniably broken. They offer, at an absurdly low cost, a complete temporary deterrant to any unit(s). They should help you defend, but they shouldn't do it all by themselves.

An other way for your tournament its just to resstrict the possibility of playing one civ. Iro and otto and jap and sioux etc.. are civ from aoe3 TAD and if you ban one civ you don''t play at aoe3 TAD. Why the best player is determined by their ability to play all civ but not this too civ? And why ban iro and otto? this is so ridiculous becouse 90% of al games of this tournament are mirror, why banned iro mirror or otto mirror?

They banned iro and otto so that there would be more variety, rather than the first 2 games of every series being restricted to iro and otto.

I'm not sure that to banish iro and otto create more variety (but maybe), anyway in this current tournament, there is no variety, if you want that, just ban mirror.

French is far from OP. They have lots of options but all of them are inferior to another civ. Their age 2 is inferior to brit, their semi-ff is inferior to germans ect

imo u can overmass brit in age 2, probably not in late age 2 but at start. Germans have the disadvantage of no falcs so if you can micro a bit there is no problem to own them with falcs/goons/cuir

I am not interested by any tournament). The best player of aoe3 TAD is the best in all mirror (becouse everybody playing mirror) and not only with the civ that the community want.

Mirrors are already as boring as it is. Iro mirrors are just f*cking unbearable.

Otto mirrors I'm fine with....but can any on this forum honestly tell me that they would like to watch 1-2 Iro mirrors every series? It is likely the most boring matchup that can occur in AOE3.

Because you wouldnt have to watch that many. Odds are that most participants arent that confortable with iro and otto coz they are banned for the other game, so would refuse to play them.

It depends on how we define luck. If we define luck as finding a really good treasure or having the hunts a bit closer then in a mirror these small luck based things have a really big impact simply because everything else already IS the same.
But if we define luck as in having the chance to succeed then mirrors are less luck based because each player had the equal chance of a "good map" and thus "good treasures" or "luck with treasures".

the treasure thing is big regardless of the MU. Obviously if it helps the weak side, one may argue that it improves the balance, but in the opposite case it is even more unbalanced than a mirror.

Some general mus are fair for both sides and have basically 1 way to play it. Mirrors often include various builds that counter eachother, meaning that you instantly lose if you choose the wrong build.
