I was wondering if the 2 vills card can be a good card to send as french after the 3 one, in a 200w start and enought xp to still got a shippment available when you reach age 2 (legacy, tad)

having 2 more vills from late 1 can sound interesting

No, you're better waiting for 4 cdb. But if you're determined to send an extra card in Age1 then I guess eco theory. Or you could try and cheese with ATP, which should be pretty easy considering anyone left on legacy won't be very good.

i think with a tp start its more advisable to go 3 cdb eco theory and make 2nd tp in transition.

Assuming a TP start, never.
You might be aware that in DE, France has a guaranteed TP start (fixed crates) as well as the 2cdb card can be sent infinite times. Still no one uses that.

Usually France (with TP start) can send two back to back shipments upon aging. Using the first shipment for 4cdbs as usual but losing out on 700w or 700g for around a hundred seconds is not worth it.

2cdb card, in theory, is only useful in a super committed colonial, that too in DE, where it can be sent infinite times, much later.

I mean, going eco theory 2nd is pretty bad in almost every situation. You don't really want to do that. But it's just better than 2 cdbs regardless.

It's a great late game card though, so you should definitely use it there

No, just NO.
In AOE3 each shipment costs 15% more XP than the former one. So if you send an unnecessary additional shipment in early game, your every shipment later is 15% slower: you're playing German instead of French.
Maybe with TP and XP treasures you can send 3-2 cdb and still have 4 cdb when you reach colonial age, but what about the later shipments? You'll have to wait for a long long time for 700w 700g etc.

Ship pioneers second card and go for a cdb rush.

that's sad I was sure that there was something interesting to do with the deck in age 1 after the 3 vills (out of advanced tp)
