how to improve APM
Re: how to improve APM
Force yourself for more APM. Try to consciously be faster. More APM isn't as useless as people think, good for raiding

APM is pretty pointless in a game like aoe3 tbh. If we were playing aoc it would be much more valuable.

By being smarter than them? This is an RTS, not aimbooster.

Re: how to improve APM
its hard to outsmart that much in a fre mirror
Re: how to improve APM
I don't think it is. There's a counter to everything, mirror doesn't mean both players have to do the same build. If they end up doing the same build that means both of them missed the opportunity to counter it
Re: how to improve APM
so how do you counter a semi-FF as a worse player? early aggression would be easily dealt with
Re: how to improve APM
There are many ways to semi-FF, all of them counters to each other. You're gonna have to be more specific.
Re: how to improve APM
yea if you can scout what you're opponent is doing you can counter build them, even in a mirror.........most people now a days just blindly do a build regardless of what their opponent is doing, because its "meta"
Re: how to improve APM
Apm is important. You can have a good micro but if your apm is slow you will be outmicro in terms of speed and not quality. In all videogames apm is at the base of all. Sometimes some players what really need to be pro or better is just apm. Apm is different multitasking. For make u an example of how apm is sometimes all i give you an example. Player A and player B play brits mirror. They both are fighting whit musk while they are fightinh whit 2 caravells in sea too. They need to micro caravells and then musk. So they have to run from a view of the map to the sea'one, doing the right click, the flying as soon as possible in the musk's battle to micro it. Who do it faster win becouse he arrives as first to doing all.

Re: how to improve APM
ofc there are some variations, but many of them will be irrelevant if you just get outmicroed. If you go for an 8 cuirs switch you can get kited, anything onvolving cannons means you can lose them more easily, plus just constant poking with skirms and preventing overkilling...
