Hello everyone I'm new to the game and I tried playing online for the first time but it seems I cannot join anyone's game in the lobby. It says failed to join. I get this for everyone's game that I try to join.

Sounds great welcome to ESO! Yeah ESO is always has is servers down mostly. That's a usual error. Why don't you play in gr until ESO has fixed it's problem?

lol but ya on serious note. Moved into new apartment and tried to play 1 game and couldn't connect to anyone. whats quick fix? Dont have time to look into how to fix it.

Looks like you''re having a router config issue.
Check Veni''s ESO guide at the port forwarding section, that should solve your problem.

www.portforward.com. Hopefully you have a router blocking you. Sometimes apartment buildings with built in internet can make connecting to games on eso hard or impossible

Musketeer925, I and others put together an AOE III FAQ but I can no longer find it on the MS site. This long thread from the old Agecomm is somewhat convoluted but it contains all of the relevant information.

There's on topic on ageheaven aswell that could work I think. It's a scary issue, because there is a chance it's borderline unfixable. Small chance though.

You need to find out what they''ve been set to for your router. In most cases, it will be written on the router somewhere.

I have that same problem (Failed to join a game) but i was trying everything from firewall to port forwarding and nothing really worked for me so i put public ip (in browser 192.168.1.1) on my device (PC) where i play AoE and FTJ problem gone
