Why micro the minuteman?

I just watched this rec and i think it was kinda bad to micro the minuteman because they lose HP.

does somebody know why they were microed or it was a misclick?

Likely was pulling them back to the impending 6 lbow shipment. Remember he doesn't have the same map vision that the caster vision has and so for all he knows there could be a 2 DS shipment or something similar lurking in the dark of the map and those MM will be his only anti cav for the time being.

But, the minuteman's lose HP over time which means only 1 trample attack will be necessarily to kill them, which means they were kinda wasted..

It buys him time as he waits for musks to train. Against the Sioux you can justify pretty much any means that will allow you to survive longer as other civs will win the long term game.

1 hp minuteman can stay alive suprisingly long and can still do surprising amounts of damage. Its pretty hard to focus down the 1 hp mm's, so sometimes they can get more than 10 shots in. That's better than just wasting them for nothing, even if that means they'll be at 1 hp.

I think the shoudlve definately continued attacking with the minutemen. The cetan were attacking anyway and he ahd tower fire too, if the cetans would stop to shoot the mm (which were at like 80% hp) they would take a long time and take lb fire too, and tower fire, and maybe more TC fire too. You can even see it was a missclick because ater he brought them back me moved them forward again but it was too late. When the cetan bows were out of his base yeah its prob best to save them

pulling them back was a bit unnecesary, targeting the cav was fine. dont know if u meant something else
