Team behaviour

Post by [Armag] diarouga »

So, I started to play team games and there are some behaviours I don't understand. Give your opinion on.

1) In a 3v3, when one of your opponent looses his connection or something, you or one of your team mate should leave the game or you get flamed as fuck.
I don't find that normal, in a 1v1, if someone looses his connection, you just take the win. Also that's not really fair since it means that you'll be playing in 2v2 on a 3v3 maps and that you'll have to change your game plan.

2) It happened like 2-3 times out of 15 team games, a jap guy who uses the spy wonder power and pauses the game to watch his opponents' bases etc.
That's not fair at all and imo that's cheating.

Totally disagree with saying you should resign in a 3v3 if one of them drops out. It's tough luck. Game on!

And pausing the game is also lame. Just like when in treaty players pause after fur trade to send gold team mates. I always un pause if that happens.

As I said, it happened few other times, so it seems to be something common in team lol.
The thing is that it isnt really cheating and theres nothing we can do vs it.

It's definitely cheating. Whoever wants to pause for a bathroom break or whatever can wait until the ability runs out, so I don't see why there is nothing you can do about it?

He''s not saying you should resign' he''s just saying the team with three players shouldnt have one of those resign!

Game on->'likely loss for 2v3 team.

A few other things to add to your list (at least for lower levels):

1. Resigning the second someone starts sieging your tc

2. Flaming people for making cuir or opri

I find it valid to flame Japan players who get Daimyo and Shoguns in your base and spam guard ashi and morutarus in a 3v3 into your economy and you can do nothing.

if you pause the game when playing as japan, and you used reveal button, the timer is stopped?

also, whats the difference, if you send gold to teammates while the game is not paused and if it is paused? do you get any advantage?

Yeah the timer is stopped...
I think that it can save you 30sec to pause while sending gold to your mates.

Its because of bs like that that my instinct is to always unpause games. I would definitely unpause if someone used that wonder ability before pausing.

I also hate it when people resign the second they are playing against someone with maybe like 2/3 ranks higher than them. That moment when they went random teams and resign because they are sgt and need to play against one ms in 3v3 :/ (This only applies for low levels :P)

it is,but not like jap or china in late, jap yumi or ashi owns everything in age 4-5, no way to stop, china has best eco, units gratis and a op spam. French is op for gendarmer and skirms, Anyway after cina and jap in team there are french porto(in late game) ted, azzy sioux and india, and who is the best on this last group depend from the map and the civs you have vs and you have in your team. Tad team games profile is more near to TR game, instead Nilla where teams are more fasted and lame, so the late game of civs is more important in tad, and often in tad dont win the team that has played better, but the team whit the best late civs.

Team games are often just crap. Something else that is innacceptable is how people so often unpause the game (when ofc you're obviously not trying to take an advantage from this pause), because they know nobody can be sure who did it, since there are several possibilities. While in 1v1 games, I don't think I've ever been unpaused
