1v1 or team?
v1s or team? Which do you favour?
Personally I prefer v1s. I think team is ok, but only when you're playing with someone/some people that you're confident can play and keep up to the demands of the situations that arise. I'm no expert, but I don't like playing with random people. It takes time to form that bond, or trust if you will, and to be able to trust one another, and especially to find a civ that equally compliments each other that you can play decently. Unless you're in sync with each other who knows what could happen.
(I'm not really one to talk knowledge, quit and came back, so I suck! More than before anyway. Trying to get back into things!)
I would say team games are easier than 1v1. I guess they equally take levels of skill. However I don't feel as if team is as demanding as 1v1.
I feel as if I perform better in 1v1. It's there that shows superiority. You can't get good at this game by playing only team.
Which do you prefer and why?

1v1 or team?
I would add a poll if I were you. ')
I play team/1v1 like 50/50. I like 1v1 cuz you can really measure skill, but while my macro/micro is okay, I can't controll a 3-unit-composition well enough. Probably because I hate control groups. So in team games I am probably better.

[div style="text-align:justify'"]I don''t think team games are easier than 1v1''s nor more difficult. They are just different to one each other. It seems obvious but the outcome in team games doesn''t depend solely on you. You have to be ''in sync'' [span] [/span]with your partners since you share tasks. (''in symbiosis'' seems more relevant but idk whether this idiom exists in english) [/div]

1v1 or team?
I did. Because even if I mostly play 1v1''s, team games are fun too so cow was a neutral answer. It''s seemed like the right thing to do.cucko0 wrote:Okay who voted cow?

I guess it is sort of biased towards one or the other. I'll add another option.
edit: nevermind I can't. Cow it shall be.

i like 3x3 because you can use civs you dont normally win with in 1v1
spain is a big one, but then i again i won my fair share of 1x1 with spain, i think communication is overrated and causes bad decision making because of hypothetical suggestions your team make..
if each guy plays well and manages there part of the field, keeps an eye on raids, who is getting double teamed and the yellow notification messages than honestly you should win.. aoe3 is pretty intuitive as is and mic communication just gives friends and even bigger advantage if they master using them.

[font face="comic sans ms" size="2"]1v1 u control your own fate.... @ least that's a consolation.
::)
like the others said before on this thread, team games where the partner doesn't sync is horrible. :'(
badly synched teams of GOOD civs can lose soo badly (facepalm)[/font]

impressive cow's doing well on votes ')
1v1 or team?
I am slit about even on team and 1v1 games because they involve completely different play styles. Whereas 1v1 often involves intense micro and carefully executed strategies, team games are more a measure of team coordination. Team games also tend to last longer and be more forgiving of minor mistakes.

Team and 1v1 are.totally different.
1v1 or team?
They require different methods of play. If you're solely a team player the likelihood of you being op at 1v1 is very slim, but you'd be good at team. Some people are good at both, some are only good at one particular type.

Yeah, they are very different. I rather 1v1 because if I lose its my fault, but I have had some fun in team games. I think the outcomes can surprise more in 2v2 than 1v1. Two players can beat the other two other players with more skill with the right communication. Just have the mindset of playing competitive Dota 2, where your shouting (or typing lol) everything out thats happening and to execute decisions based of the info your teammate has given you, that kind of teamwork can work wonders.
But without it can make it seem like 2v2 is full of nubcakes lol.

I wonder whether people vote cow because they enjoy both equally or they're just being awkward. Or they just like cows...
