you're "cheating" twitch (the company) by having a large amount of fake viewers. ads don't mean shit if it's bots watching them

in addition to this, viewbotting puts you at the top of the page of streamers for a selected game. viewers have a natural proclivity to larger streamers. large streams are usually of a higher quality, and have a more active chat... if you're viewbotting, you don't need those credentials, or to have worked to achieve such. viewbotting takes away potential viewers from other streamers who aren't viewbotting. that's why people consider it to be bad.

in this specific case, and for our specific game, viewbotting is pretty irrelevant. i'm very sure tibia hasn't done it himself. it could be some random jackoff trying to frame him, or it might simply be a bug on twitch's end. a while ago, dicktator_'s stream viewer count was inflated to like ~60 viewers for 10 minutes. normally he's at around 15-20 viewers, so the only reasonable assumption here was that it was some mistake by twitch.
