And one more idea... What about a Civilitzations War, with participants joining with their main played civ? Anyone of the participants with a CIV affiliation would challenge another one of a different CIV affiliation. And the +3 and -2 points would be added or pulled out of their CIVs score.
That could be very fun to see and easy to join for everybody at everylevel.

I don't know anybody else from Poland who is active here, I (pr25 or so) play sometimes with my friend who is a serg and he recently registered on ESOC. I heard about a clan [PL] and I think there are some guys ranked at 1st lt or higher, but I'm pretty sure most of them are inactive. I think then that regions should be divided by a number of active players, so we can possibly connect Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia etc.
Yay. Warsaw Pact countries versus my almighty NATO.
Don't bring up history, my French comrade, you have very little to be proud about in the twentieth century

Tell me more my Polish friend. Do you still use your horses vs tanks ?

I advise you to read more about that, as those were quite effective battles ended up advantageously for my Polish ancestors. Btw. we still do await for your help, my strong ally, fighting hard against the nazis! Oh, wait...

You mean someone to beat? Yeah, 1920 was a good year... Saving the Europe from the communists? Not a big deal. Oh, wait, France was red anyways.
