richard know very well what to do whit russia, the timing, the time to press, rush, age, map controll. He is very good in all, but not in micro, this is what fuck him to be more then a major

I've played him a lot and he is definitely not a one trick pony.

I used to win his Russia with my Germany, but he adapted, now vs my German he will play defensive, hold back, boom and timing push when I age up and when I run out of close hunt to tc. If he's playing defensive he watches his vils very closely and will use all his APM on countering your raids with plenty cossacks and his infantry. He can be very patient in this MU, might not even commit until mill/plant transition, at which point Russia seems to outscale Germany, since they have more vils and he's been sending upgrades mostly while Germany's probably been sending 9/8 uhlans, skirms etc, but the biggest problem at this stage of the game for Germany is coin dependency.

It also doesn't help that German anti cav late game is very meh, war wagons suck and once you have lost black riders, then uhlans, dops and pikes are the best thing to counter the cossacks, ofc uhlans and dops will deplete your precious mines faster.

I think you have to kill him before you run out of mines or he outscales, but its hard because he is so patient sitting in base behind lots of blockhouses, he can spam army quick if you push so he has flexibility to focus on eco and tech, also uhlans don't really have the HP for extended brawls with his high dps units, unless you have a critical mass but I never seemed to get enough...

he just seiges the stable instantly... and there is no way i can have rez for 2 batches of cav... imo what ovi suggested seems the best thing to do for my level

Vs any all-in or rush, you want pretty much every building behind the TC so that the enemy must physically go past your TC in order to do anything.

That makes any rush so very difficult to hold off. It's also why yukon is a SHIT map for defensive play.

seemed reasonable for me to. i forced in-base bh, made 5 huss, 5 in transition, shipped 8skirm. My 5 huss had a weird pathing though and i lost like 4 without doing demage. seemed like normal pressure tbh.
