AoE3 trivia: revolting and dying
AoE3 trivia: revolting and dying
Recently I've been interested in some Age of Empires 3 trivia. I wondered what would happen if two players died simultaneously. I checked that with a friend of mine by pausing the game and deleting our last units. We both got losses — the loss screen and music. Not sure how would ESO and ELO count it.
Moreover, I thought that two players could revolt in the same game. I was wrong, apparently, byt thought of a situation in which two players press the revolt button at the exact same time. So once again — pause and click. The answer is that indeed only one player can revolt — it's player 1. Player 2's revolt tech is cancelled and the resources restored.
Do you guys know more about such interesting facts? Share your experience with our brilliant game while ESO is surprisingly down!

Re: AoE3 trivia: revolting and dying
if two players playing a game together died simultaneously i guess the match itself would keep on running (unless servers are gettin sucked into abyss again like usual atm...) while both players are afk... since their family members and other ppl aorund them would probably care more about getting rid of the dead bodies and crying about their losses and what not instead of focussing on winning their last game. Sadly. Guess this just shows that most people today are setting their priorities completely wrong... its a fucked up society rlly.
Re: AoE3 trivia: revolting and dying
If all people resign at the same time in a FFA game with 5+ people in it the game stats wont be uploaded to ESO becaue ESO will continue thinking that the game hasnt finished yet because there is no winner.
Re: AoE3 trivia: revolting and dying
Generally FFA (unr) games aren't uploaded to ESO, but I guess you meant these statistics on agecommunity.com.
Still, pretty interesting...

You can get an Imperial Age Revolt if you have the resources and click on both at the same time using the pause trick. Saw Aiz do this in treaty.

Don't think so, I watched it live on his stream but it was probably around a year ago.
Re: AoE3 trivia: revolting and dying
That was vs cometk. Unfortunately spamming infinite forts in treaty with Russian musketeers isn't as effective as one might have hoped...
Anyway some additional trivia:
1. 10 elifents can fit into a fishing boat
2. You can garrison fishing boats in town centers
<step omitted that allows you to ungarrison fishing boats onto land>
3. You can use consecutive outposts to bring fishing boats to the center of a land map
4. Therefore, you can have 10 elifents in a fishing boat in the middle of the map
5. This situation is pure bliss
Also,
1. You can start a building foundation with a villager and then use a travois/wagon equivalent to complete it
2. You can remove stone walls from the map on New England using inner peace and architecture
3. I know lots of fairly unusual trivia about this game

Wow it's actually working, this is ridiculous XD why haven't I known about it yet?!
Re: AoE3 trivia: revolting and dying
When you send units in a game and go to your homecity you can see the units walking from their respective building towards the ships and disappearing. Unit shipments come from the military academy etc... if I remember correctly.
Don't let the things you can't change dictate your life.

Re: AoE3 trivia: revolting and dying
You can both build a TP at the same time if you both start building at the exact same time. Both tps will complete and be on top of each other.
Mitoe managed to do this with Kaiser in a real game once.

1. You can temporarily or permanently bug out treasure guardians using stealthed units
2. You can convert Silk Road trading posts without having to defeat the treasure guardians
3. This game is buggy

Re: AoE3 trivia: revolting and dying
If you're playing an Otto mirror 1v1 10 min NR then you need to have the revolt menu open so if the other player revolts you can still revolt. As long as you have the revolt menu open then you can still revolt even if your opponent has revolted already. If you can't revolt as otto in that scenario then you've just lost the game for nothing lol

When you rescue a villager/coureur as China, you can build 7 blockhouses if you already sent one blockhouse from the consulate.

Meaning that you can fit 10*50=500 elifents into a Town Center, with a pop of 3500.

Re: AoE3 trivia: revolting and dying
The treasure for faster hero speed can be picked up by vills (coureurs). Combine this with the Northwest Passage card and coureurs get can to 6.525 speed. (Without any other native upgrades if there are any).
Re: AoE3 trivia: revolting and dying
They are the real Coureurs...
