Ordering & naming your deck, how does it function ?
Re: Ordering & naming your deck, how does it function ?
Also it's just a waste of your energy
Re: Ordering & naming your deck, how does it function ?
Try to make as few as deck as possible. Name them clearly to select in game.
Re: Ordering & naming your deck, how does it function ?
Well I could imagine smth like
FI (+Sea)
Standard (+Sea)
Troll (+Sea)
Variation X (+Sea)
Variation Y (+Sea)
Treaty Nat
Treaty
Team (+Sea)
Team Variation X
=17 with the possibility for many more.
If you really think the game changes just because you need to select a deck then screw you. Worst thing that could possibly happen is missing a cow or smth.

Re: Ordering & naming your deck, how does it function ?
yeah lol, I have plenty of variations, it requires no thinking as I usually decide before the map loads given on my opponent's civ and the map itself, and sometimes that one card may be pretty crucial. Like for Brits I have decks with VC, for colonial muskets, longbows, huss mainly, water, no food (spice trade/land grab), FF, FI etc. I actually needed to make a new HC for treaty as I reached the deck limit. It's not that significant, obviously, but if you can afford it, which you certainly do, you just gain a nice flexibility and get rid of a feeling that you might have won that game had you had a specific card in your deck.
Re: Ordering & naming your deck, how does it function ?
And the most important one: ALWAYS HAVE A SEA DECK AND USE IT ON SEA MAPS!
Re: Ordering & naming your deck, how does it function ?
Thank you guys.
I would like that a admin lock this thread bcs it went to far.
My point in posting this thread was that i can have more order among my decks, so that i dont spend a lot of browsing and asking where is X deck.
I tried to make a sup & tr homecity but it happens to me when i switch from sup to treaty or vice versa that i forgot to change civ, and a lot of time when i see that i roll my eyes, but i can only assume how the other players feel about it when the need to restart, so i made that in my sup civ are 3 tr deks and in my treaty civs are at least 3 sup decks, and it happened that in my treaty civ is a bit of a mess when i choose my deck. I dont like when sth is in a mess, my intention is to have a neat list.
Anyway thx for help, now i think that admin can lock this thread bcs i feel like those post above mine are missing the point.

Re: Ordering & naming your deck, how does it function ?
I remember watching Flooky VODs and I couldn't make out the names of the decks (the videos were like 320p). So I misread the names of decks by a lot:
I thought one deck was called "10m GP" so I assumed he either had a deck for a game which should last under 10 minutes or he was measuring the map in metres (AOE metres) and this had some secret meaning. 10 metres from what? Could be 10 metres from the opponent.
I was like "wow, so much precision, this guy is calculating how far from the opponent he must build". So much science in playing AOE3!
Too bad it was all in my head. The deck was actually called "1v1 GP".
Moral of the story: don't fucking make 320p VODs ever.
