Hi,
Nice to see a water map, we will see some water play!
I love the map, the island... but, imo, the starting boat isn't fair. I mean that the luckier player can take the 275 food treasure or even kill his opponent's warship.
I think it would be better to remove it or to put a cano? instead.

+1 , if u start next to 275 food or 290 wood , u can take it immediately... the boat seems too strong...

There isn't a 275f or a 290w that you can take in age 1 ?

The most OP treasure that you can take in age 1 is the 200c 3 catamarans. Garja said he'd remove it if he could but all sea treasures are the same level. Either way you can both pick up 1 shark treasure each (100/125/150 w/f/c) and your boat shouldnt die in age because the sea is circular.

I've played this about 15 times now and it seems ok.

Yeah replace the privateer by something way weaker such as 1 or 2 canoe.

the pirate boat start is really silly, quite often your 2nd hunts spawn next to the shore and can get denied by the ship

Yes, this map is great but I really don''t like this ship which can take op treasures and kill a game...

1, a privateer is way to much indeeed, the ship may randomly win u the game if your lucky enough with tres, and opponents hunt/mine is on the shore... Just a canoe seems to be the most balanced choice here, without all the bs you can abuse with a warship so early on.

H2O played vs Garja on this map and he killed Garja's villager who was building a dock with the privateer. Definetly need fix.

I appreciate the concerns raised about the privateer. A couple of comments about things


[ul type="disc"][li]The privateer cannot kill the big sea treasures.[/li][li]The privateer can help with land treasures and sea treasures, both players have it and will get[/li][li]We are releasing the map pool now, give the map a try in a few games. Its pretty easy to talk about how broken this privateer is, but I havnt seen anything actually happen yet that concerns me[/li][li]Garja lost a vil one time in our 5-7 games. He made a mistake and didnt cover his dock with his own ship, this was his misplay.[/li][/ul]

can you log on eso and show me how you can do it every time. did it miss? I tried this with and without the extra shot and both ways didnt kill it.

edit: Okay I killed it, its random, based on the number of missed cannon balls on both sides.

It is luck, that''s stupid, 290w is too much.

Correct, the RNG on cannon balls is a way wider range than I thought. Its actually quite dumb. The difference in how that battle plays out could swing by as much as 500 HP.....
